Mediterranean Film Festival confirmed itself as one of the best and most popular cultural manifestations on Adriatic and its positive spirit during last 11 editions was recognized by more than 100.000 visitors. It is mostly because of the movies from the Mediterranean that have their regional or Croatian premieres and which cannot be seen in a regular cinema distribution. But the scent of old pines and rumors of the sea, sandy beach, smiley faces during the parties…it is all a bonus that visitors get during 10 days of the festival.
It is becoming more and more usual to ask for an extra ticket for the screenings in summer movie theater Bacvice, so no one is complaining when watching a film sitting on a bench or a towel. Moreover, that casual atmosphere gives to the FMFS the Mediterranean scent. During the day, the screenings are held in a beautiful movIe theater Zlatna vrata that is placed inside the walls of 1700 years old Diocletian’s palace.
Besides the screenings, educational part and hanging out with our movie guests, the FMFS is well known for its parties at the summer movie theater „Bacvice“ that are an ideal warm-up for the upcoming summer season.
